About EAPAN

EAPAN is an intellectual property practice focused on Eurasian, European and international protection of patents, trademarks, industrial designs and related IP rights.

Our team has long-standing experience and a broad professional network in intellectual property matters, including patent and trademark prosecution, development of strategies for preparing and filing applications, portfolio coordination, renewals, recordals, disputes and cross-border IP procedures.

We work with inventors, companies, technology teams, foreign associates and right holders who need practical support in protecting intellectual property across different legal systems and jurisdictions.

Starting with pre-filing patent research and analysis of technology development trends, we provide information support at all stages of creation, development and use of IP objects, help address unfair competition, and advise on patent design-around and innovation problem-solving using TRIZ and OTSM.

A significant part of our work is connected with Eurasian and regional IP protection, including procedures before the Eurasian Patent Office and national IP offices in Eurasian jurisdictions. At the same time, we coordinate European and international protection routes where broader territorial coverage is required.

Our Position

Intellectual property protection across several jurisdictions often requires more than filing separate applications. It requires understanding of local procedures, regional systems, official practice, language requirements, deadlines, representation rules and commercial priorities.

EAPAN works at this intersection of regional and international IP practice. We help clients navigate national, Eurasian, European and international filing routes, coordinating the procedure directly or through trusted local representatives where required by law.

This approach allows us to support IP matters involving Eurasian and European jurisdictions while keeping the work practical, coordinated and transparent for the client.

Eurasian and International Practice

The Eurasian Patent Organization and the Eurasian Patent Office remain an important part of our professional focus. For many applicants, the Eurasian route offers a practical regional framework for protecting inventions and industrial designs across several participating jurisdictions through one procedure.

At the same time, effective IP protection often requires coordination between different systems, including national filings, PCT procedures, Madrid and Hague routes, European Union mechanisms and local representation requirements.

Our work is therefore not limited to a single office or filing route. We help clients evaluate which protection path is appropriate for their object, territory, timing and commercial objectives.

Our Team

Our team combines legal, technical and scientific backgrounds, which is particularly important for patent work, technical analysis, prosecution strategy and communication with inventors and examiners.

The practice includes specialists with experience in physics, chemistry, biotechnology, engineering, trademarks, designs, disputes, international filing coordination and IP portfolio management.

This multidisciplinary background helps us work with technically complex matters and coordinate IP protection across different objects, industries and jurisdictions.

How We Work

We approach each matter as a separate project requiring careful analysis, attention to detail and understanding of the client’s objectives.

Depending on the case, we help assess available options, explain procedural requirements, monitor deadlines, prepare documents and coordinate communication with the relevant authorities or foreign representatives.
